Breanna
Lynn Abell is a talented young vocalist who performs in the Pacific
Northwest. At the age of three, Breanna climbed up on her mothers
four post bed with a hairbrush in her hand as a microphone and
started singing "Blue" by LeAnn Rimes. Shes been
singing ever since.
In
1999, Breanna received a little karaoke machine as a gift. She
would spend hours singing songs from Selena, Celine Dion, and
LeAnn Rimes. She would perform for anybody that would stop to
listen. Breanna would end up drawing crowds no matter where she
was or what she was performing.
In
December of 2003, Breanna was chosen to sing with Kenny Rogers
in his Christmas concert at the Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA.
She sang an acappella version of "The Sweetest Gift"
by Trisha Yearwood and was selected out of many children attending
the audition.
After
her performance with Kenny Rogers, Breanna knew she loved to be
on stage. She began to sing at weddings and other special events.
In 2004, Breanna recorded her rendition of "The Star Spangled
Banner". It was played at a benefit for the California Highway
Patrol in association with FIVA in San Bernardino, CA for over
500 people and received an incredible response. Audience members
could not believe the singer was only 10 years old.
In
2005, Breanna began to explore her talent at local events and
entertainment contests. Her most notable performances included
the Colgate Country Showdown, where she received first place selections
in the local and area rounds, advancing to the Washington State
finals. She also performed a two song opening set in Liberty Lake,
WA for Grammy Winning Artists "Riders In The Sky" .
Breanna's powerful and inspired vocals are attracting a growing
fan base around Washington and Northern Idaho.
This
year, Breanna would like to continue singing at various events
in Washington and Idaho. She will also be lending her voice to
raise awareness for various issues in her community. As a sister
with an Autistic sibling, Breanna has learned that she can use
her talent to help make a difference.
Breanna
enjoys to sing a wide range of music including Country, Pop, Latin,
as well as classic songs from artists such as Elvis Presley, and
Patsy Cline. When asked how she chooses her songs, she will tell
you, I just sing what I feel and people seem to love that.
Breanna is inspired by people such as Wynonna Judd and Selena.
She says, They have very different singing styles and I
guess Im somewhere in the middle. A little something for
everyone.
